Edinson Volquez (17% Y!, 11.3% ESPN, 48% CBS) takes on the Nationals this Sunday. Volquez can be sporadic when it comes to control but has pitched nicely the past couple times out, and he’s looking for his third straight quality start. He has the ability strike out plenty, but he could also hurt your WHIP with his walks. He will provide a good amount of strikeouts and should produce decent ratios, while being in line for a W and/or a QS.
Jeremy Hellickson (16% Y!, 12.1% ESPN, 48% CBS) is another guy who has been good in his past couple starts. He’s not going to strikeout as many as Volquez, but he’s less inclined to lose control and walk guys. He’ll be looking for his third consecutive quality start as he takes on the Yankees. He should produce good ratios and be in line for a W and or a QS. I am confidently streaming him Sunday.
Joe Kelly (15% Y!, 3.5% ESPN, 44% CBS) and the Bo Sox take on the Astros. Kelly has pitched brilliantly since coming over from the Cardinals at the deadline. His first two starts with the Sox resulted in quality starts. He isn’t an overpowering guy, just as Hellickson isn’t, but he should keep the Sox in the game, provide decent ratios, and be in line for both a W and QS.
