We’ve got another split Wednesday on our hands Fake Baseballers. Lots of options in both slates, so lets get straight to it.
Zack Wheeler – Because I’m not letting myself pick David Price. Wheeler’s posted solid numbers so far this year and the Phillies are an offense that ranks near the bottom offensively. Throw in Citi Field and I think you’ve got a great option at pitcher today.
Jesse Hahn – Hahn’s still cheap across the industry and he’s having a fantastic year. The Cardinals offense is very tamable and I think Hahn gets it done and he gets just enough run support to get a W.
Danny Duffy – Duffy just put up a solid performance against this Twins team exactly 1 month ago. His price is super friendly and I think he gets it done again.
Derek Norris – There’s a a lefty on the mound, you know Norris is ready to attack. (He hits LHP to the tune of .360 this year)
Anthony Rizzo – Keeping up the attacking LHP theme, Rizzo hits .306 against them this year.
Dustin Pedroia – Pedroia is 15-for-40 against Mark Buehrle lifetime. I like his chances tonight to keep it rolling.
Juan Francisco – I would’ve stayed away if it was still Jon Lester throwing tonight, but I’ll bite on Brandon Workman.
Ian Desmond – I swear I’m not picking on LHPs today, but I think Desmond puts in work tonight against Brad Hand.
Mike Trout – Did you know that studies say men find it easier to approach women with tattoos? Oh, Mike Trout’s good at baseball.
Brett Gardner – Gardner’s having himself a series down in Texas and it can get even better with him facing off against Colby Lewis tonight.
Yoenis Cespedes – Cespedes called Norris this morning and said “Hey, save some LHP for me.” I think Yoenis & Derek are going to put Dallas Keuchel in some serious trouble tonight.
