Pitching Streamers & DFS Plays for Monday, September 26th
September 26, 2016 | Justin Bales
Corey Kluber (at DET) – Kluber has been one of the hottest pitchers in the MLB recently. Over his last 10 games, he has an 8-1 record with a 2.78 ERA and a 10.5 K/9. He gets a tough matchup against the Tigers tonight, but he has dominated them in three starts this season. He has also been a better pitcher on the road this season, and he should receive plenty of run support tonight with Buck Farmer on the mound against him. Kluber is an extremely consistent option with elite upside, and he can safely be used in all leagues.
Kyle Hendricks (at PIT) – Hendricks continues to have a Cy Young Award winning season. Through his first 28 starts, he has a 15-8 record with a sparkling 2.06 ERA and an 8.1 K/9. He gets a good matchup against the Pirates in an extremely pitcher friendly stadium. Hendricks has dominated Pittsburgh in two starts this season, and he’s a -154 favorite in a game set at only 7.5 runs tonight. He’s still available in 8% of leagues on Yahoo, and Hendricks can be used in all leagues.

Tanner Roark (vs ARI) – Roark is another pitcher that has been enjoying a great season, especially over his last 10 games. Over that span, he has a 5-3 record with a 2.12 ERA and a 6.9 K/9. His strikeout rate isn’t ideal, but he does have the ability to pitch deep into games. He gets a great matchup against the Diamondbacks, who have struggled quite a bit on the road this season. Roark is a huge -200 favorite in a game set at 8.5 runs, and Roark is a great option. He’s available in 14% of leagues on Yahoo, and he’s one of the safer options on this slate.
J.A. Happ (vs NYY) – Happ has been enjoying a solid season for the Blue Jays. He has a 20-4 record with a 3.28 ERA and a 7.9 K/9 through his first 30 starts. He gets a good matchup against the Yankees, who have had their ups and downs offensively this season. Happ has found success against them in four matchups, and he has been a better pitcher at home this season. He’s a -185 favorite in a game set at 8.5 runs, and Happ is available in 13% of leagues on Yahoo. He’s a boom or bust pitching option on this slate.
Jaime Garcia (vs CIN) – Garcia has struggled quite a bit this season, but he has shown flashes at times. He gets a great matchup against the Reds tonight, who have really struggled away from home this season. Garcia has also been slightly better at home, and he’s a -185 favorite in a game set at 8.5 runs. He certainly comes with quite a bit of risk, but he also comes with a ton of upside, as can be seen in his recent start against the Braves. He’s also available in 45% of leagues on Yahoo, and he’s a high risk, high reward streaming option tonight.
