The dust has settled with the trade deadline behind us, and just in case you live under a rock, David Price is a Tiger, and Jon Lester is an Athletic. With Lester in Oakland, they shipped Yoenis Cespedes to Boston, and I am giddy having him at Fenway over the coliseum. A few other moves went down as well, John Lackey to St. Louis, and Austin Jackson to Seattle. In the Lackey deal, Allen Craig is coming over with Joe Kelly. I think both those guys can have an impact in the DFS world. Keep an eye on lineups tonight, deals can still be worked and newcomers may be in or out. Baltimore and Washington are the two areas with rain in the forecast tonight.

Pitching:

Chris Sale $11,000 – Sale went for 24 FDP in his last start, which was against Minnesota. Sale has a 1.88 ERA this season, and I feel he is often overlooked when talking about the best pitchers in baseball this season. He has allowed a .232 wOBA this season, and has a 29% K to go with that. He has allowed 5 ER in his last 5 starts combined, nobody comes close tonight for the top pitcher.

Danny Salazar $7,300 – Salazar has a 14 and 15 FDP game in his last 2 starts, and at home vs. Texas I think he can be a solid play tonight with his big upside potential. His biggest weakness is his control, so he is a bit risky. He has a 10.3 K/9, but a 3.4 BB/9 to go with that, but the Rangers lineup is pretty battered this season, and as long as he keeps command of his pitches he will do well.

Hitting:

Victor Martinez $4,000 – Tigers have the matchup of the night against Franklin Morales, who allows a .409 wOBA to RHB. Martinez has been a stud all season, but from the right side he has an absurd .483 wOBA .313 ISO against LHP.

Jose Altuve $4,100 – Altuve has quickly become a lot of people’s favorite player to roster in DFS. He is an animal on the base paths, and he is hitting .426 against LHP this season. He gets J.A. Happ tonight, who has allowed a .359 wOBA to RHB and has a 6.10 ERA on the road.

Matt Adams $2,900 – With Sale being one of the big plays tonight, Adams is a nice value play at first base tonight. Wily Peralta has allowed a .362 wOBA and 22% LD to LHB. Adams has a .391 wOBA against RHP this season.

Jordy Mercer $3,000 – Vidal Nuno has allowed a .361 wOBA to RHB this season, and Pirates bats are in a good place tonight to do some damage. Mercer is a solid value shortstop, he has a career .406 wOBA against LHP.

GPP Plays: Doug Fister, John Jaso, Anthony Rizzo, Dustin Pedroia, Todd Frazier, Josh Harrison
