– “Top 5 Hitters” highlights exceptional matchups that may include both stars, lesser-known players, and those on your waiver wires.

When putting together the top 5 hitters, we factor in a few things; prior matchup history, whether the hitter is hot, and the pitchers history against that certain type of hitter. These matchups are released in the morning so ensure to research the weather leading up to the games in case they were postponed, and if the player is in the starting lineup. These suggestions should help you with all of your daily fantasy baseball lineups!

Top 5 Batter vs. Pitcher Matchups
Matt Carpenter vs. Wily Peralta-  .417 (5/12) with a 2B and 1 HR.
Buster Posey vs. Jonathon Niese- .400 (6/15) with 2 2B, a HR, and 2 RBI’s.
Ben Revere vs. Doug Fister- .389 (7/18) with a 1B.
Great spot for a guy to get a steal against a pitcher he owns and a bad throwing catcher, sneaky play today.
Entire White Sox Team vs. Logan Darnell- .440 (11/25) with 1 HR and 6 RBI’s.
This column is for individual matchups but this matchup is so great I had to make a point, play and all White Sox you can, they all owned him 1st time and this time the game is in a hitters park
Matchup of the Day
Allen Craig vs Chris Capuano- .636 (7/11) with 3 2B’s, 2 HR’s and 6 RBI’s
I normally try to stay away Red Sox for fear of being biased but when your OPS is over 2, there is no bias involved, just an absolute must play.

Surprise Pitcher: J.A. Happ vs. Houston .173 BAA (4/23) with 0 HR’s and 0 RBI’s.
Pitcher who has been pitching better of late and gets a matchup he’s owned, great GPP play.
