Welcome back to The Daily Fantasy Forecast here at The Fake Baseball! We’ve got a friendly split slate of games today which means even more chance for us to cash in. Let’s get into some plays.
Madison Bumgarner: Probably the top option in the early slate, MadBum’s got 17 K’s in his last 2 games. He also did well against the Dodgers last year, earning 26 K’s in 28 IP. Not to mention that stingy 1.93 ERA
Yovani Gallardo: Yovani is 11-4 with a 2.61 ERA against Pittsburgh in his career. I think that’s all that needs to be said here.
Alex Wood: I like Wood as a solid play here, I think he’ll do a fairly good job of keeping the Phillies bats in check.
Buster Posey: Posey aka the lefty killer gets a lefty today. Don’t think about this, just do it.
Chris Carter: No, I haven’t bumped my head. Yes, I know I picked an Astros player. James Shields has been known to give up a home run or two. Chris Carter has been known to hit a home run or two. He’s also cheap across the industry.
Robinson Cano: He’s priced at a steal right now and he has a great matchup.
Evan Longoria: Longo has .396 & 6 homers against Captain Cheeseburger in his career. Need I say more?
Elvis Andrus: Elvis is hitting the ball well this season and the matchup is decent.
Hunter Pence: Pence had 3 base knocks last night and I think the pitching of Ryu will lead to more hits for the most awkward man in baseball.
Shin-Soo Choo: Choo is an OBP machine. I think when you take that and add it to my belief that this Rangers team will score some serious runs today makes him a solid play in my book.
